As a result, we evolved into offering 4 day retreats. This way, a whole day is dedicated to integrating the psychedelic journey, honouring the precious window of time when one is still impacted by the ‘afterglow’ of the experience, and it can be richest to harvest the insights and start grounding them into our way of being. As one of our retreat participants said, “I was dubious about needing the day after, but it is 100% the right thing to have, almost as important as the ceremony itself.” (Guy, 42).
The 6 day retreat offers the opportunity to dive deeper into the psychedelic space through participation in two ceremonies. Participants arrive, and participate in the first ceremony the following day. The day after is followed by integration activities, deepening into the psychic material that has come to light, and preparing for the second ceremony. On the 4th day, the group goes into another psychedelic journey, followed by another entire day dedicated to integration.
A significant time away from our day-to-day reality, the 6-day-double-ceremony retreat allows not only for a deeper exploration of our consciousness, it also leaves more time for preparation and integration work, attending to the various dimensions of our multi-faceted human experience: connection with self, connection with others, connection with the natural world, and connection with the mystery.
The 7 day retreat, as with the 5 day retreat, allows for a full day of arriving before embarking on the first ceremony whilst simultaneously offering a 2-ceremony experience as with the 6 day retreat. Having an entire week to pause from the hecticness of life, with two psychedelic experiences as well as deep, complementary inner work addressing the various dimensions of our human experience, offers a real opportunity for a reset, and to translate new discovered ways of being into a way of life.
