It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel all of our previously listed retreats. This is due to the persisting 1.5 meter distance regulation in The Netherlands.
In light of the uncertain environment that Covid19 is creating, this decision has been taken to uphold our commitment of ensuring a responsible and beneficial setting for psychedelic journeys
and to create clarity
for our ticket holders and staff. In these turbulent times it feels especially important to adhere to our values and code of ethics.
It is widely known that the “set and setting” for a psychedelic experience are of utmost importance. We do not think it is possible to create a safe and supportive space during this retreat without welcoming moments of consensual interpersonal closeness and touch, such as hand-holding and hugging. The psychedelic journey is by definition a journey into the unknown: there is no way of knowing beforehand whether someone will need to be touched, be it to ensure their safety, or to support them in going deeper.
In these difficult and isolated times, the need for this work is stronger than ever. It is our deep wish to run retreats again as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we will find creative ways to share our offering and support those who want to embark or deepen on their inner journey.
The intention for Alalaho has always been to share a way of life
, the weaving of the insights and wisdom gained from inner work into an attitude with which to meet the many facets of this human journey. Although the psychedelic experience can be a powerful propeller on this path, we don’t have to wait for it to be able to take the next step. Sign up to our newsletter
